Poppa John’s Super-Duper Daylily Soil Mixture
20 pounds compost/manure
2 – 16-ounce cups of dehydrated alfalfa (available at feed store on Hwy. 119 about 3 miles past Lake Purdy going towards Leeds)
8 – 10 ounces millorganite
1/3 of 2-cubic feet of soil conditioner or pine bark nuggets
3-5 tablespoons Epsom salt
Mix thoroughly, and put in buckets. Or, if you're planting your daylilies
in your yard, dig a hole a foot or two deep and put super soil in the
bottom. Then, you can cover the roots with the soil you dug out of the
hole.
